Sun salutations not only serve as a warm up at the beginning of class, but elements of the sequence also show up throughout the entire practice. Actions like stepping to the top of the mat from downward dog are awkward with a baby bump. And common transitions such as linking together plank, chaturanga, and upward dog, are contraindicated.
